Miami Lakes Golf Club recently hosted its annual Member-Member Tournament (Jan. 16–18), bringing together local golfers for a two-day, 36-hole competition that showcased both skill and sportsmanship.

Taking home the championship were Raul Gastesi, a partner at Gastesi, Lopez, Mestre & Cobiella, PLLC and the Miami Lakes Town Attorney, and Juan Carlos Gonzalez, a Certified Public Accountant and partner at Garcia, Espinosa, Miyares, Rodriguez, Trueba & Co. LLP, a firm that audits town government.

Gastesi and Gonzalez finished the event with a net score of 13-under 131, winning by four shots. The format featured best ball in the first round and alternate shot in the second, testing both individual performance and team coordination.

The competition was strong across the field, with two teams tying for second at 9-under 135, and a total of 18 teams completing the two-day tournament.

Events like the Member-Member are a reminder of what makes Miami Lakes special. They bring neighbors and local leaders together beyond the day-to-day. Congratulations to the winners and all participants who helped make this tournament a success.
